Vincent van der Voort wins through to round 2

Vincent van der Voort wins through to round 2 (Lawrence Lustig/PDC)

Two sessions today – and I’m going to miss it all!  Oh well, beers with friends (and work) has to come first sometimes.  So keep an eye on the ‘live results page‘ which gets a twitter feed from the stats guys – you’ll get results and averages there :-)

Round two gets underway after a week of round 1 – and there were few surprise names who got through.. but that has to include Daryl Gurney, the lad from Northern Ireland.  He takes on the much fancied Dave Chisnall this afternoon, so he’s got to play some incredible darts to get through.

It will be interesting to see how many are in the Ally Pally this afternoon – with many people having their last day at work before Xmas, and the bad weather affecting the trains.

You can watch highlights on the livepdc.tv official website (or live if you’re in certain parts of the world).  And the full schedule of play is here.

About the author

Webmaster of this any many darts websites, darts fan, bad darts player (45 average), I play for Stilton Country Club, real ale and craft beer fan, CAMRA Member. WordPress 'guru'.

I have created and write for the official sites for many PDC players, including; Justin Pipe, Terry Jenkins, Kevin Painter, Dean Winstanley, Stuart Kellett, Steve Brown, Ian Wight & Jamie Caven.

I run this site as a hobby in free time, it's not for profit (in fact like many fans, darts costs me a lot every year!).

Just leaving my current job as Lead Developer at New Scientist, so looking for an interesting new role - if any darts companies/breweries are out there who want an all round web guy - who can put together, run, and write content for, who also knows how to use social media to promote in a fun and engaging way, get in touch! Obviously other sectors are out there - but if you want the skills and the knowledge, I know darts and beer!
