Jacqui Adams, PDC Walk-on girl interview at Darts, Beers & Cheers!

Well as they say, it’s a dirty job, but some-one’s got to do it.  I think they are probably talking about clearing up after a premier league event, rather than swapping e-mails and messages with one of the brand new PDC walk-on girls!  :)

So back you darts mad fiends, and give the girl some room, as I introduce Jacqui Adams to our fine fansite.

Jacqui Adams, Premier League walk-on girl

Q.  What’s a night at the premier league like for you?  (how early do you get there, do you mix with the players / officials at all / what’s it like backstage with the other walk-on girl)

Jacqui Adams

Jacqui Adams - PDC glamourpuss!

Its a fun night, once we get to the location we have dinner with the team, who are all lovely people, then get ourself ready for the walk ons!

We have our own room backstage where we get ready but we dont see most of the players until the walk ons.

Q.  Are you a darts fan?  (Either before you took the job on, or now you’ve been part of the ‘show’ of darts?)

I am a massive darts fan!!! I must admit wasn’t until I became a walk on girl, but once I did and someone had explained the rules and scoring to me I loved it!

Q.  What are the players like off the oche – have you had time to talk to many of them?

All the players are lovely guys!

Q.  How nervous do you get before a walk-on – the crowd can be a little noisy and excitable at PDC events!

I never get nervous now, the crowd can get very excitable and noisy but its all part of the fun and you get used to it!

Jacqui as Dorothy

Jacqui in the already famous Dorothy outfit, steady guys!

Q.  Is it a bit of an ordeal to stand up in front of 8,000 excited fans (a big proportion blokes) – or do you enjoy being part of a live TV event?

I really enjoy being a walk on girl, its allot of fun to be involved an such a great event……and the outfits are great!

Q.  How much choice do you get in what you wear / who you walk on with – and is there a fight between you girls for a certain outfit? (the ‘Dorothy’ outfit has gone down a storm this year!)

We choose who wears what on the night, it depends who is paying who really!

I love all the outfits though………..especially the ‘Dorothy’!!

Q.  How do you get on with the other PDC girls – it seems to be a growing team this year.  Any favourites yet?

I only really work with Kailey and shes brill! – (that’s Kailey Wood, the ‘blond’ walk-on girl who joins Jacqui)

Big thanks to Jacqui for not only answers a few of my questions, but also contacting me in the first place – just confirming that it’s not only the players and officials who are great people.  The people in and around the PDC really are the business!  Hopefully I will bring more darts & beauty to you soon – If I can pursaude another fans favourite, Nicola Cowell.

Hi Jacqui. I play for a premier league pool team in North London and we are introducing walk-ons for next season. I have just been allocated someone who looks like a bulldog chewing a wasp. I don’t suppose you would like to stand-in? :-)
