We Love Darts Launch – ‘The Rivals Championship’

For men and women over 18 across Britain.  This fabulous individual, amateur championship is described as the new ‘News of the World’.

The preliminary rounds of The Rivals will be held in 5,000 pubs with 8 Regional Finals being held in Gala Casinos. The Rivals Championship starts in October 2010 with the National Finals held in May 2011 so there’s plenty of time to practice and to save up the player’s 50p entry fee – every penny of which is being donated to Cancer Research UK.

THE PRIZE FUND

The Rivals prizes are fantastic:

• The National Champion will win £5,000 cash, a car and a set of Target signature darts.
• The National Runner-up will receive £3,000 cash, a holiday and a set of Target signature darts.
• The other 6 finalists will each receive £1,250 and a set of Target signature darts.

Double Finish Darts Open – £3,200 Prize fund!

I thought I would let you know about an amateur darts open being run by the lads over at DoubleFinish darts forum (it’s a non censored darts forum for those who like their forums a little more ‘spicy’ )  Sharky over on the DoubleFinish forum told me he wants their competition to be like the PDC UK Open…but without the pros.
